Corporate Need to Unite to Deal with Youth Unemployment

Every year a great number of graduates pass out in India. But 90% of them are unemployable. It is not because there are no jobs in the government sector or the private sector. It is mainly because they lack the employable skills which include sending an official mail to having subtle technical skills.

The education system that needs an immediate overhaul does not encourage students to develop inner skills in them. Instead, marks based education system often cripples them by employing a rote method of acquiring bookish knowledge. But this can be a boomerang for the Indian economy. The growing economy India has is all set to reap the benefits of demographic dividend in 2022. Under this circumstance, it is high time that the authorities find out a mutually benefiting solution so that the vast pool of youthful energy can be exploited positively to the greatest extent.

Why the Private Sector?

Generating employment falls under the ambit of Government. And the Government of India is making all the efforts to create new jobs and opportunities. But considering this bursting population of more than 100 crores, it becomes highly troublesome to create jobs for every youth.

This problem needs a stable solution that can eradicate unemployment and bring riches to the country, and in this journey, the private sector can come of immense help to the Government. Unlike the Government, the private sector works only for financial gain and growth. Like the Government, it does not have to provide free services to a section of the population.

So, if the Corporates unite and make room for new employment, it will be mutually beneficial for all the stakeholders from the unemployed youths to the company and the economy. An increasing human resource can steer a long-term growth for the private sector of India and it only requires that the Corporates unite and with their visions suggest plans to provide employment to the unemployed youths of India.

How the Private Sector Works

Any company would recruit you based on your capability and skills you bring to the table. But Indian youths are basically lacking in this field. They might be higher degrees but they lack skills. And that aggravates the problem. If the required skills could be imparted to them, they could take part in the growing economy of our country.

And Then Comes NEEM SCHEME

National Employment Enhancement Mission is a central Government initiative that aims to eradicate the ill-effects of unemployment. In order to achieve that, NEEM helps the youths of India to acquire skills specific to certain industries.

The good news is that these courses are affordable by dint of their cost-effective nature. Any youth from any corner of the country can take part in this program.

The government ensures that the quality of the skill training is maintained under every circumstance so that those who are receiving can be employed in the specific industry as fast as it is possible. And once the youths are properly skilled, the private sector will definitely like to employ them and reap benefits from their skills.

Herein lies the importance of NEEM.
