How NEEM scheme is shaping the future of Indian youth?

India is a developing country with a fast pace of increasing population of youth and it has resulted in a huge pool of employable individuals who have a young average age. The increase in the young population has a coincidence with the fall in the population of young people across the globe. There is nothing wrong in saying that our country might take a lead as the centre of investment and driver of global economy in the truest sense. India’s position as a global leader is boosted through the massive population of young people who are looking up to skill improvement and subsequent employment. It is no wonder that the potential of the youth of the country has not been tapped and it can actually create wonders that the world is waiting to witness.

Steps towards a future of fulfilment

The future of any country certainly lies in the hands of the young population as the business organisations across industries are in search for skilled and expert workers. And the demographic of such technically sound and mechanically expert population has been declining for quite some time. Countries in almost all parts of the world are having to cope up with an ageing workforce with no access to young yet adept and skillful individuals. This has compelled the multinational corporations to look for skilled yet cheap labour from other parts of the world and India has used this situation to her benefit.

The number of youth is swelling faster and a large proportion of it is unemployed. It has thus become a necessity that various opportunities and scopes should be presented to this populace for earning their bread and pushing forward the economy of their motherland. But without the proper knowledge and adequate skills required by such industries, it is becoming quite difficult for the Indians to fulfill the void in the international market. But the present situation is working in their favour and thus the opportunities have to be actively exploited by the youth. And the government is taking up active steps to develop the skills and technical knowledge of the youth so that they can be deemed employable.

NEEM training scheme

The government of India in association with All India Council for Technical Education has launched the NEEM scheme for offering national level of job training scheme for enhancing and training the workforce to create skilled workers who can be employed by the industries instantly. The NEEM training scheme allows an individual to take up apprenticeship in their favoured industries where they learn to acquire skills by directly working in the concerned institution.

The number of unemployed youth is rising at an alarming rate but the level of job creation is not that high. The underprivileged women are suffering a lot when it comes to acquiring jobs in their chosen field. The NEEM scheme is meant for such people who wants to attain the requisite training and skills so that they can compete for their position and drive their lives towards prosperity. The primary objective of NEEM scheme is to create a huge number of skilled personnel each year for catering to the demands of the industry. Millions of students are taking up this training program but it is important to understand that such people comprise just a fraction of the people who are in dire need of training.

The motivation behind the development of the NEEM scheme lies in the attempt of the government for adding to the number of skilled labours in the country. The rising number of employed youth has caused a lot of drawbacks in the growth of economy of the country and therefore, this scheme is offering a chance in employing the youth of the country. This is therefore a brilliant opportunity for those who are underprivileged for bagging a job and utilizing them for their personal growth and development of the nation.

This training is effective in offering a comprehensive insight and training which remained overlooked in conventional educational framework. A NEEM agent is responsible for registering a young individual under the scheme and then offering them a host of opportunities so that they can work with the relevant industries and boost their skills.

Practical application of the scheme in various industries

Those industries that are registered with the NEEM scheme are having a huge pool of available workers who are technically skilled and informed where they can hire from. As these workers have been trained within the industry itself, they have the required experience and familiarity with the functioning process of those industries. When an individual has been recommended by their mentor at the NEEM, the company would just have to give them a comprehensive training so that they can work without any kind of impediments or troubles. It is important to understand that the scheme is meant for providing training only and not offering job. It is totally in the hands of the recruiters to determine whether or not an individual is fit for the post.

The sole purpose of the NEEM scheme is to allow the various companies to foster their employees through valuable training and evaluate the trainees so that they can decide their performance and employability index at the same time.

The government of India is trying to meet the job demands of the unemployed youth and bring them under the flow of the economy so that they can contribute to the growth of the nation and face the challenges of the global industries and competition from rival markets. The industries also gain a great deal through this scheme without any kind of burden of liability from the government or the individuals they are training. This is a convincing way of reaching out to vast populace of the youth of the nation and train them as per the needs, demands and standards of the industry. NEEM is known for helping the industries to instantly hire the suitable candidates and create a workforce that is at par with the global industry standards.
